It is our pleasure to present to one of the world's most advanced hunting knives the Model NL5CX Idun. Its blade is made of Cowry X Damascus steel. This is probably the world's best steel, and definitely one of the most exclusive blades ever made. The edge comprises a powder steel with the following extreme content: C 3%, Cr 20%, Mo 1%, V 0.3% and iron to 100%. Its hardness is no less than 64 Rc! The sides consist of stainless, 120-layer Damascus steel, and with the edge of powdered steel, Fallkniven has formed a blade which in its beauty and strength is world class, no less. The fittings are of solid nickel silver, while the rest of the handle is in stacked leather and fiber washers. The knife is manufactured in strictly limited numbers. The handles are made of specially selected ox-hide, a material which is usually overlooked by knife manufacturers, but delivers a sure and rugged grip. These ox hide handles age beautifully, and as the years pass will acquire an attractive brown patina, that is not affected by oil or solvents and are impervious to water. The sheaths (some of the best built sheaths I've ever seen) are made of thick brown leather of the highest quality. These Fallkniven knives easily rival the quality you'd expect to find with any custom knife - and they have my highest recommendation. Jeff
