This was my first benchmade and i have to say i wasnt all that impressed. Ill start with positives; the knife came very sharp,Opening and closing the knife is ridiculously smooth, with the right pivot screw adjustment it swings back and forth effortlessly which makes it a very cool and fun knife to flick open. The knife looks awesome, i love the textured g10, very aggressive, jimping was great, grip is great I didnt really notice the sharp edges on the corners of the handle some reviewers will complain about,In theory this should have been a great knife, but i came across a few surprises. First was the lockup, out of box without touching the pivot there was some serious side to side play, i was incredibly disappointed after all ive heard about benchmade. I tightened the pivot but in order to eliminate the play i had to tighten it down to the point the knife wouldn't close. I decided to just deal with it. The next thing i noticed was the pocket clip. In pictures i loved it, super deep carry, black, looked great. In use however it pretty much sucks. The clip is really wide (big gap between clip and handle) Im guessing this is for "tactical" thicker pants i dont know, in jeans it didnt matter too much but in cargo pants it swings and moves around way too much. Last thing i can say is the rust...I know, its cpm m4, not a rust resistant steel by any measure, but the coating should have helped. What ended up happening was the pivot area inside the knife, where the knife is polished smooth to slide against the locking bar, rusted like crazy. I had gotten it dirty, rinsed it off, dried it, let it sit out in the sun for a couple hours and thought it would have been fine. The next day i noticed opening and closing felt grainy, and then i found the rust. if you use this knife as law enforcement you should be fine, as edc it sucks as a camping knife it sucks use it for duty and nothing else you'll be happy, otherwise go with something else

The Title says it all, its lighting fast, strong, sharp as hell & gorgeous what else could you want. One reason i love spyderco's is the zip tie mod so One little Mod i did on this knife is i unscrewed the thumb stud and put a zip tie through it and now opens out of the pocket like the spydee's. get this knife you will not regret it
