Blade: Adequately sharp out of box, but after a few minutes with my Spyderco Sharpmaker, it's now scary sharp. Thumb studs: Done right: easy to access; knife flies open with little effort. Lockup: Rock solid--no movement in any direction. Pivot is loose enough to allow the blade to fall when the Axis Lock is released, which makes for a blazingly fast deployment--which I dare say is faster than my SOG Flash 2 (an assisted opener). Jimping: The scales and liner are jimped above and below the pivot, but this is pretty much useless--it's not very sharp, and even with significant downward force, I can make my thumb or index finger slip forward. Blade jimping is marginally better, but very short and still not terribly grabby--nowhere near as good as the jimping on my Spyderco Para-Military 2. This is definitely not a knife with which you'd want to do any serious thrust cuts--the jimping does not inspire confidence. Handle: I'd call this low-to-medium traction polymer. The grippy-looking surface isn't awesomely grippy so don't be fooled by the name. I was also expecting the handle to be a bit darker than it is--my sample has a handle that's quite a bit lighter than the picture, which was a tiny bit disappointing as it doesn't look quite as cool. But that's a minor nit. Liners: steel, very little milling-out, but does not fill the scales, so there's some weight savings attempted here. Knife is quite rigid. Clip: Strong. Subtly phallic design, left-right reversible, tip-up only. Carries fairly deep. Adequate friction to prevent slipping out while wearing cargo shorts, while not so much that it's going to wear out the fabric prematurely--getting out of the pocket is pretty fast. In sum, if you're looking for an attractive, wickedly fast EDC with a corrosion-resistant blade that can take a nasty edge, this is a great knife for you. If it had better jimping and a handle the same color as the photo above, I'd be an easy 5-star knife for me.

I like the non-flourescent orange handle. The satin clip and rust resistant blade make this a care free EDC choice for humid climates. No black paint to chip or scratch! Although my Pacific Salt is a keeper, this a much sturdier knife. Killer price once again, thanks Cutlery Shoppe!
