little knife of horrors
Jon Pease (Wye, AR) 4/27/2013 7:52 AM
The sand color is nice and blends in my system well. Ok first thing about this knife is it comes scary sharp, I have a nice scar to prove it. The D2 takes a wicked edge. The top serrations are also very sharp and is an effective saw and rope cutter. The gimping is outstanding. The handle is a skeleton and Benchmade supplies some OD paracord to wrap it. I played with the wrap and ended up with a base of gutted 550 and a top wrap of full 550. I love the feel and grip. You can play a bit with your start and end wrap for a semi custom feel. The sheath is some sort of plastic and retention is good and adjustable. Inverted carry is fine. If you are doing a lot of running there is a small removable elastic strap that make this sheath jumpable. Comes with a tec lock if that is what you want. If you need a lbe / soldier knife this one is hard to beat and at CS price with the BM code for $100 bucks, show me one better. The spydy fred perrin maybe, I just ordered it so we will see.
