    Superb Kitchen Knives!

I purchased several Al Mar Stainless Ultra-Chef knives & they are simply the best knives I have ever owned! Aesthetically, the knives are beautiful! The blade sharpness is superb & it has retained it's edge through countless uses. My other premium Henckel & Wusthof knives are now relegated to camping & RV use. I love these knives! They are fantastic!

The best Chef's knife I've ever used...

Posted by Martin Shapiro on Sep 29th 2010

I really like Al Mar Knives, and I do have their regular 6" utility knife, which is good, but too small for me. I decided to get their 8" Ultra and see what a top of the line knife really can do. I used it to make beef stew, and cut beef with it, sliced and cut vegetables, potatoes, scraped carrots all in quiet amazement and in half the time it usually took me with another high quality German brand chef's knife. The knife has the weight I was looking for, the balance, it's incredibly sharp, and the blade is just the right thickness to do just about everything. Again, the thing that was most amazing was how quickly the food prep went as compared to all the other times I've made this same dish. The knife seemed to allow me to work at a much higher speed, even though I was in no way trying to rush. This is one super chef's knife.
